Time to Reset & Pivot
For the last two years, I’ve been navigating various strange health challenges. In 2021, I went to over 100 doctors appointments and saw many different specialists. According to the Penn Health System & the various incredible top docs that have run countless tests and treatments, I’m a medical mystery!
I’ve unintentionally lost over 40 pounds, been having frequent convulsions, sometimes experienced temporarily paralysis, often will have periodic cognitive impairments where I can’t think or speak properly, and have consistent pain levels beyond what I thought was possible! That’s actually why I wear a hat now — one of my doctors and a seamstress friend helped me design it with special material that helps decrease my pain.
I unfortunately wasn’t able to keep my job at the PR firm I worked at. They were awesome, and I just realized I wasn’t physically able to work conventional hours right now. All that to say, friends, I’m in an adventurous season of transition.
If you’re ever inspired to pray for me, I’d really appreciate it! I know my Best Friend hears us loud & clear when we pray, and He’s blown my mind with how He keeps giving me supernatural strength when I’m weak. Right now most things look impossible, but every day I see my Best Friend surprise me with unexpected and beautiful gifts of grace.
Oh, and by the way, overall I’m quite well. My spirits are high, my heart is full, but my body & brain have been really taking a beating! And my mood has been stable for over two years despite all this physical chaos — and if that’s not a miracle, I don’t know what is! While I honestly sometimes hate some of the setbacks & suffering this all brings, I love how my Best Friend keeps building my faith, growing me, and getting me to focus less on my situation and more on selfless love.
Thanks for reading guys! It feels risky, vulnerable, and worthwhile to share this life update with you. #7cab
