Project Overview:

Homelessness and hopelessness are serious problems in impoverished communities. H.O.P.E., Healing Opportunities for People Everywhere, was a multimedia & community service project I started to help those who are less fortunate. I traveled to homeless communities and gave out supplies, connected people to local resources, & shared their stories.

Project Scope:

Event Planning, Leadership, & Public Speaking

 
 

Results:

  • Built from scratch several fundraisers + a Facebook page (367 likes), Instagram (1,069 followers), and Twitter (64 followers)

  • Created media content & used Facebook paid promotion to gain more fundraising traction

  • Distributed supplies to people in need

  • Hosted an event with a team of volunteers for the Ithaca, NY homeless community that included a buffet dinner, live music, and donated prizes (e.g., guitar, grill, new mountain bike, among many other prizes)
